For cannabis consumers, 4 types of weed are particularly recognized:

Haze

Skunk, Diesel and Kush. Its hemp families are very popular all over the world.

As a result, feminized seed breeders (such as the researchers at

Barney’s Farm seeds

) have been working for years to develop them into different varieties. Thus, they enrich the virtues and organoleptic qualities of these new plants.

Here, we will be particularly interested in the varieties Kush, whose fame is not any more to make. They seduce more and more curious people every day. In spite of the number of varieties which multiplies, certain Kush remain impossible to circumvent and indétrônables: OG Kush, Banana Kush, Candy Kush,

Hindu Kush

and the

Vanilla Kush

. Each of them has an atavistic heritage very close to each other. however, they are strongly distinguished by their properties. These last ones being respectively created by an original crossing between a plant of Kush and another strain. One powerful characteristic will outperform all others (yield, effects, organoleptic characteristics). Sometimes it can even become the signature of the resulting variety. It is the case in particular of: the Vanilla Kush. As its name suggests, its name reflects its “vanilla fragrance”. Very
powerful, it titillates the taste buds of its lovers, just by mentioning its name!

The origins of the Vanilla Kush

The Vanilla Kush is a

hybrid with a genetic
ique very particular. She appeared in the 80’s following the research of the seed bank Barney’s farm seeds. Of Afghan origin, this new variety with strong dominant indica (80%) is resulting from a crossing of Kashmir hash plant with an Afghan Kush. These two types of plants are :

  • strong “
    landraces
    landraces”: pure lines evolving naturally

and never modified by man since their appearance
  • extremely stable
  • agricultural properties (growth, height, flowering, type of culture…), cerebral, muscular and organoleptic (flavor and aroma).

Vanilla Kush : seeds and culture

The germination of feminized Vanilla Kush seeds can sometimes be capricious. But, once launched, this variety of cannabis is very easy to cultivate, from the seed to the bloom.

In spite of its small size (height rarely above 70 cm for a maximum of 100 cm), its bushy aspect brings a robustness which can face all tests. A true indica that respects itself! Therefore, it can be grown both indoors and outdoors.

Its flowering is rather short: 55 to 60 days indoors. But, for all that, it does not prevent the production of clusters of heavy flowers, richly filled with red and gold resin. A real nugget this little foot of weed! Indeed, very discreet and not very cumbersome, in optimal conditions, it provides an excellent yield of resinous heads:

  • indoor growing : 500 to 600 grams per square meter
  • grow outdoor : 700 to 800 grams per square meter

The Vanilla Kush effect

Vanilla Kush has inherited the intensity of the secular effects of its powerful indica parents. Its strong rate in THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) naturally present (22,5%) is responsible for a part of the soaring effect (“stone”). But, its rather high CBD (cannabidiol) content (1,2%) and its predominantly indica will do the rest:

  • The Vanilla Kush will knock out the curious uninformed.

Its recreational use is deeply and permanently relaxing. It will be much more appropriate for a late evening or, in case of big muscular tensions.

The signature scent of Vanilla Kush

Finally, what makes the main fame of the variety Vanilla Kush, it is its formidable organoleptic properties.

  • Its bewitching perfume of lavender and vanilla slightly raised by piquant notes of orange and lemon zest.
  • Its unique and fresh taste, of spices which remains long in mouth.

These qualities make this variety one of the tastiest and most fragrant of the Barney’s farm seeds bank. Vanilla Kush was awarded the second prize of the

cannabis Cup (High Time)

in 2009.

Advice on the consumption of Vanilla Kush

All these qualities mentioned make the Vanilla Kush the queen among queens. It stands out masterfully from the other Kush. And this, essentially for its olfactory, gustatory and therapeutic properties (muscular relaxation).

Despite its incredible characteristics, it is prohibited in France for production, marketing and consumption. Its prohibition is due to the deleterious and addictive effect of the absorption of THC in the short or long term. This psychotropic substance is registered on the list of narcotics according to the article R.5132-86 of the public health code. It is therefore illegal.

In order to address the major problem that makes the consumption of such a good variety of weed harmful, a CBD (THC-free) version of Vanilla Kush has been created. Taking advantage, in the same way as the other varieties, of the rise of the products to the CBD of the European market, to slip there!

Vanilla Kush CBD

Opinions

All opinions are unanimous regarding the Vanilla Kush:

  • This variety of cannabis is so original that it would have been a shame to leave it in the cupboard because of the presence of psychoactive substances in its leaves and flowers.

Its worthy descendant, the Vanilla Kush CBD, thus represents an excellent substitute for all the amateurs of strong and intense feelings.

CBD

To date, CBD (cannabidiol) is not considered harmful. It even appears as a super muscle relaxant with many benefits for the body and mind. As a result, it is found in many products marketed in countries open to CBD.

Vanilla Kush CBD: effect, taste, culture and legality

This new plant is totally legal and comes from Swiss laboratories in order to meet the legislative standards of European countries (systematic analysis of its THC concentration < 0.2%) while keeping all the characteristics of its original version:

  • the famous signature vanilla scent with an orange note characteristic of CBD plants
  • a smooth and long taste in the mouth, almost creamy
  • a relaxing effect with a powerful action potential without knocking out its consumer
  • a short flowering period
  • easy to grow
  • an abundant harvest of resin-filled grass heads. She also won first prize in indoor grow at the 2010 Cannabis BarbaCup.

Its concentration in CBD varies from one bud (flower) to another on the same plant but is naturally around 6%, which is rather important for cannabis!

Vanilla Kush CBD products

It can be consumed like any other product containing CBD:

  • vaporization: flowers, oil, leaves
  • ingestion in recipes or herbal teas: oil, resin, leaves, flowers, oil seeds and seeds
  • vapotage: liquid for electronic cigarette

As its beneficial effects are no longer to be proven, it is also marketed in the form :

  • of capsules : food supplements
  • balms and other cosmetics
  • seeds of collection: feminized seeds or in auto flowering like those of Barney’s farm seeds.

Its organoleptic qualities are such that the smell that emanates from a bag of flowers instantly stimulates the taste buds of its holder. The temptation to smoke it can therefore be strong (for a smoker of course!). The flowers and leaves of Vanilla Kush CBD can be consumed in this way. However, it is important to remember that the inhalation of a product by combustion is very harmful to health. Moreover, it can deteriorate the terpenes naturally present in the plant. This results in a reduction in the range of flavors and aromas. If you follow my opinion, this is not a good idea! It would indeed be a shame since it is his best attribute!
